In 2016, CNN reported that the average American spends over 10 hours per day consuming media. If you’re like most people, a huge chunk of this is based on browsing websites and using smartphone apps.

It’s second nature to do this in your free time, so why not get paid for it? It’s easier than you might think.

Website testing is a unique paid gig that’s simple and fun. Companies need feedback about their websites and smartphone apps. They use feedback from testers to improve their content.

You get paid for providing your genuine opinions because they’re valuable. Check out the 14 options below to become a paid website tester today.

General Requirements For Website Testers

Every website has their own unique eligibility requirements. However, most of them have the same basic requirements. I’ve compiled a list of the most common ones. If you can check off all of these items, you’re likely eligible for most of the sites on our list.

  • A PC or Mac with a modern operating system. For example, PC users typically need Windows 7 or higher to test websites.
  • Free space to download software. Most website testing platforms require you to download their screen recording software. This tracks what you do in the game.
  • A high-speed Internet connection. Quality Internet access ensures that you can complete tests without any lagging or disconnection.
  • An external or built-in microphone. Website testers are often required to speak out loud while they test games. You don’t need any fancy equipment. The built-in mic on any laptop is fine.
  • A verified PayPal account. Most of the companies on our list pay via PayPal. Make sure you create a verified PayPal account in order to get paid.

Some companies have more detailed tech requirements, and some have age requirements for users. Many sites require users to be at least 18 years old, but some accept users that are at least 13 years old.

I’ve listed as many of these details as I can find for each company on the list. If the information isn’t listed below, that means it wasn’t openly listed on the company’s website.

If you have questions, your best bet is to use their contact forms to get accurate answers.
