Yes, this is an unfortunate case for Ibotta. However, they are currently working on expanding to healthier products. I personally only use the app for stuff that I would normally buy – getting the cash back is just a great bonus.

One thing about Ibotta. It mainly features processed/boxed and junk foods. You won’t be getting deals on fresh vegetables or meats. Worse, you can only get a rebate check when your rebate total reaches (i think) $20. If you don’t use the app for a while and you don’t have enough banked to get a rebate they start TAKING MONEY AWAY! I ended up deleting the app because it just wasn’t worth the trouble and I’m not going to buy crap just to get a rebate.

I have used Favado app for grocery price comparison for different stores in the past. I search by entering a name brand item or by just entering a general name, like “Shampoo.” It was a really good app that told you what coupon was available to use to make the item even cheaper. Sadly, they Favado has closed down as of 4-30-19. Do you have any suggestions on a similar app? I used Favado a whole let before I went shopping. It had saved me a lot of time.

The apps 9-13 are Iphone only not for Androids sadly.

I think Ebates and Drop apps would also been a good fit in the post. I have used the two and i really loved them.
