Thanks for sharing your experience. From what I’ve heard, people have found great work through the Steady App. But like you said, it is kind of funny that not one negative review is mentioned. Sorry it’s not working out for you.

I could not proceed until I physically chose to look at that post. Then, the second post would show up. This happens every time I have tried to search for anything. In addition, instead of small jobs around the area, every ad was for a massive, national web-based corporation, namely Uber, DoorDash, Postmates, Airbnb, and Overnight Dog. That was all they offered, over and over, despite stating that there were well over 600 jobs in the area. I get better results with Craigslist, and i can skip entries that don’t interest me. I wasted my time, thanks to your overly-glowing review! As far ad I can see, they’re just another web fraud, taking part in the monopolization of information. What if i don’t want to work for DoorDash? What if I don’t have a house to open up to complete strangers so Airbnb can make money off me?
Am I supposed to click through the multitudes of entries before finally finding a simple odd job? Apparently, you haven’t had to be frugal for some time, or you would’ve recognized the time wasted immediately! My advice? Give real reviews–don’t review based on the income you generate by plugging others. Obviously, that’s what happened here. Not a negative comment about Steady, just a heart-touching (and likely fabricated) story about the cofounder’s poor retired dad.
How about correcting this very glaring problem of simply serving as yet another recruiter for Postmates? If I wanted any of those, I would have gone directly to them. They are pretty well-known (and much-maligned). You have discredited yourself by shamelessly plugging Steady.
I wouldn’t even mention the survey suggestion, if not for the fact that i just did. That’s a complete scam. Even if you do finish a “ten minute” quiz that takes an hour, good luck on collecting the $1.10!
Frugal? Yeah, right.
