If you’re anything like me, you spend over $100 dollars a month on Amazon products alone. However there are plenty of ways to save money on Amazon, and sometimes you can eve get products for free.
We’re going to talk about the top 10 best ways on how to save money with this giant retailer.

1. Amazon Prime Store Card
This one is probably the most obvious, but getting the Amazon Prime Store Card gives you 5% cash back on all purchases you make through Amazon. Cash back is given in the form of Amazon credit that can be applied to your next purchase.
Right now Amazon is offering a $40 gift card for everyone who applies right now. Cash back takes up to two billing cycles to show in your account, and the card usually accepts most who apply. There are also special financing options available with this card.
2. Subscribe & Save
For those frequently purchased items, you can sign-up for Amazon’s Subscribe & Save Service. For items that you may purchase more than once – such as toilet paper, paper towels, etc. – if you put them on a subscription to have them sent to your door every 1 or 2 months, you can get 5% off.
Do this with 5 or more items and Amazon will give you 15% off. Add the Amazon Store Card above, and you’re already at 20% off all purchases! This is great because instead of having to go to the site and order something I need, Amazon automatically sends me it without having to do anything.

3. Amazon Prime
You’re shooting yourself in the foot if you don’t have Amazon Prime. This service gives you free 2-day shipping on all products sold by Amazon. For those of you without the service, you have to have a minimum spend of $35 dollars and get free shipping on standard shipping.
I personally like not having to wait for my products and also being able to not have to worry about meeting a spending limit. Not only that, but you get access to their Kindle Library and Amazon’s free movie streaming service. 4. Get Free Amazon Products In Exchange For Reviews
Instead of spending any money on an Amazon product, why not get it for free? There are currently multiple services out there that help sellers on Amazon connect with buyers. If you agree to leave a review for their product, they’ll give it to you for free or at a heavy discount (usually at 90% off or more).
Here are a few websites that offer this service:
5. Use Cash Back Portals
You can save a ton of money on Amazon by using cash back portals. These are online websites that have affiliate links to thousands of online retailers. When you click one of their links to Amazon and buy something, they earn a commission and give a portion of that to you.
A popular one that I like to use is BeFrugal. In addition to the savings that I can earn above, I can get an average of an extra 6% off. When you have enough money in your cash back portal account, they’ll send you a check or deposit your money to PayPal. Unfortunately, you’ll only get cash back if your product falls within a certain category.

6. Get A Free $5 Gift Card
When you download the Amazon Shopping App for the first time, Amazon will give you a free $5 dollar gift card automatically deposited into your account. It only takes a few minutes to complete.
The best part about this offer is that it forced me to download the app, and now I use it on a frequent basis. Keep in mind that this promotion only applies to users of the app for the first time. However, you can try sending Amazon an email and ask if they’ll give you a gift card for already having the app. It worked for me!
7. Get A Free $10 Gift Card
Ever heard of the online service called Mint, where they track all of your personal expenses and help you keep a budget? There’s a website that’s very similar called Personal Capital. They’re currently holding a free promotion where you get a free Amazon $10 dollar gift card for signing-up.
They also have a mobile app that’s very handy and easy to use for both iOS and Android devices. If after signing-up you don’t receive your free gift card within a week, send them an email and they’ll usually be able to help you out and get you your cash.
8. Discover It Card From July To September
For the month of July only, Discover is holding a promotion where you get double cash back at the end of the year when you apply for the Discover It Card. Normally with this card you get 5% cash back on all Amazon purchases from the months of July to September. But with this promotion, you’re getting 10% back.
Use this in conjunction with a shopping portal and you can save up to 18.5% on all purchases. Of course you can increase this amount from some of the steps above, like using the Amazon Subscribe & Save service.
Even if you already have a Discover It Card (like myself), call up the number on the back of the card and asked them to initiate the bonus for you.

9. Save Up To 16.5% Every Time
Through my frugal trickery, I have found a way to get a minimum of 8% off and up to a maximum of 16.5% off all Amazon purchases. This is for those who missed the Discover It Card promotion in step 8.
This requires you buying Amazon gift cards at a high discount and then going through a shopping portal to get that extra cash back. Usually I buy the discounted gift cards on Raise, as they seem to be one of the only gift card resellers that offer Amazon gift cards at a decent discount.
10. Buy Amazon Gift Cards At 20% Off
The reason we list this one as number 10 is because we can’t always guarantee that gift cards are available at this price. For those of you familiar with Reddit, they have a subreddit called Gift Card Exchange. You can buy gift cards from others who don’t want them anymore.
The current market price for Amazon Gift Cards is usually at 20% off, but they go rather quickly so it’s best to act fast. If you want to sell an Amazon Gift Card, this is also a great way to do it. Just be sure to be safe and not get scammed.

I usually employ at least 1 or 2 of these steps each time I make a purchase on Amazon.
