Want to Make Extra Money Now?

We’re constantly surfing the web on a daily basis, so we might as well get paid for it. If you need some cash or are just looking for a way to increase your side income, start by surfing the web with these 5 search engines that actually pay you to search.

Table of Contents

1. Swagbucks

Swagbucks comes in at first place due to their sheer popularity in the online world of making money. This rewards website pays you for completing tasks online such as taking surveys, watching videos, taking polls, surfing the web and more. Each time you search with Swagbucks, you’re one step closer to earning some extra points that can be redeemed for cash prizes. However, it’s difficult to determine how often you’ll earn points since there’s no concise pattern. Each search gives you the potential to earn 2 points with 1 point being equal to 1 US cent. Replace this search engine with google and you could easily make a few extra dollars a month. They also have a toolbar you can install on your browser to make searching more convenient.

2. Perk Browser

This search engine is available for both your mobile phone and your computer. Perk Browser is an app made by the same developers of one of the most popular rewards app around called Perk TV. In fact, Perk has over 10 different apps that pay you to do different types of task. Each time you use Perk Browser to make a search on the web, you can earn Perk Points which can be exchanged for gift cards, PayPal deposits or even BitCoin. 1,000 points are equal to $1 USD and from personal experience, I usually earn 1-2 points every other search. Even if you aren’t completely interested in Perk Browser, I highly recommend checking out their other apps. My favorite thing about their app is that they have a search functionality along with ad blocker.

3. Bing Rewards

Microsoft has their own search engine called Bing, and when you sign-up for their rewards program you can get credits for surfing the web or trying products that were made by Microsoft. Like Perk Browser, this can be done from both your smartphone and computer. Each time you make a search you have the potential to earn points that can be exchanged for gift cards such as Starbucks, GameStop or Amazon. The only requirement that you need to comply with is to stay logged in with Bing each time you make a search. We estimate that you can make an extra $5 – $10 a month using Bing as your search engine, and there’s a maximum of 5 accounts per household.

4. Qmee

The problem with all of these search engines on this list is that they can’t all be used at the same time.

However, Qmee can be used with any one of them. Qmee can be used with the Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera and Chrome browsers. Each time you make a search for a product, Qmee will search for helpful links that apply to your search.

After installing their toolbar, a little popup will appear displaying these links with a dollar amount listed next to each one of them.

Click on the link to earn the said amount. There’s no minimum cash out, and all payments are made directly to your PayPal account. We estimate that you can make an additional $5 per month using Qmee.

5. Gift Hulk

Last but not least comes GiftHulk, another very popular rewards side just like Swagbucks. While surfing the web in order to earn cash isn’t what they’re best known for, it’s still a great way to earn some extra cash. Registration is free and there are plenty of ways to earn cash with this rewards site, such as watching videos, completing surveys, referrals, liking Facebook pages, daily polls and of course internet searching. If you really put a lot of effort into their site, you can easily earn a few extra dollars per day. As for their search engine, it’s probably subpar in comparison to the others on this list. Use promo code JW802600 to earn 250 Hulk Coins upon registration and also to support FFL – thank you!

Final Thoughts

Out of the 5 websites that pay you to surf the web, we have to rank Swagbucks and Bing Rewards as our top 2. There’s a limit to how much you can earn on a daily basis with these two, so if you receive the maximum amount of rewards on one, feel free to switch to another. Make sure to use the FireFox Browser and install Qmee so that you can earn points from two of the programs on the list. If you know of any other sites or apps that pay you to surf, we’d love to hear about them. Thanks for reading and happy frugaling!
